Very fruity aroma, tart cherries. Pours a dark reddish brown. No foamy head of any kind. Carbonation is mild. 6.8% abv. Quite interesting to consider. Flavor is of very tart cherry and potent oak. Not beer-like in a conventional sense at all. Absolutely no bitterness factor. I am surprised it’s not classified as a lambic, but there’s no indication from any of the beer outlets I shop that it is.

Bottle. High fluffy but lasting pink head. Clear ruby and lovely body. Mild sour cherries aroma with a bit of oak as well. Relatively sour cherries lemon flavor. Would not have guessed on such a high alcohol percentage. Low carbonation. Like the long sour aftertaste. Nice surprise.

Bottle. It pours a lovely, clear, well-carbonated ruby red body with a lasting finger-thick pinkish white head. Cherryish, lemon-sourish aroma with hints of oak. Tart, yet sweetish flavor with cherries and some lemon. Medium, effervescent mouthfeel with palate-cleansing qualities. Cherries, lemon and some sweetness in the finish. So smooth and easy to drink, and wonderfully refreshing. Well hidden alcohol makes it a dangerous one. (080823)

Deep red with barely no head. Strong cherry aroma, wood and a bit vinous. Light bodied, little sweet with a dry end.

Bottle: Poured a deep red color ale with a rather large pink color foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of a load of cherries with some notes of oak. Taste is also a mix between loads of cherries that are sour but also lightly sweet but some light sour and tart notes with some oak presence also noticeable. Full body with some great carbonation and no appearance of alcohol. Very well done and definitely something I wish I could get more often.

Tap at Ginger Man: Pours a nice ruby color with a creamy off white, lacing head. The aroma is fruity and fairly sweet with notes of candied/maraschino cherries, marzipan and almond paste. Sweet, yet welcoming. Nice chewy feel with mild carbonation. The flavor is dominated by sweet/tart cherry flavors. The presence is very natural, however, making it pleasant. Has some almond paste sweetness and tarter cherry characteristics of cherry skins/tannins. Doesn’t offer much funk/tartness or wild fermentation suggestions, but has a very natural fruit presence and is pretty tasty overall. An easy drinker.
