Cheese and sour cherry aroma. Vinegary sourness, but not overpowering as it blends wonderfully with the sweetness of the real cherries. Superb. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2008 Bottle purchased yesterday at Nikki’s Liquor in Providence. Date is best before 10/18/08. Pours a really nice dark red with a tan half finger nose. Taste is very tart with a nice cherry feeling, the kriek aspect of this is interesting and all over the place and overall its a tasty sour. Not the best and not the worst. caesar (3034), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2003 Deep red color, pink head. Aroma is like a flemish sour ale, oak wood, cherry, but with some sweet cherry kriek added. Taste is like the duchesse de bourgogne, but just some kriek added to it, not really well balanced. Taste is quite ok though, sour and a bit sweet. daknole (3031), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

So I will give this an average rating...right down the middle. shrubber85 (3014), Wallhalben, Germany

You steel yourself for the sour cherry onslaught and still your defenses are breached as the sour cherry coats your mouth and sinks in between your teeth. Not as complex as some others but simple, tart and delicious. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA
