Bright red coloured body with a thin off-white head with pink and copper tints. Aroma of tart cherries, malt, alcohol and a pungent sweetness. Medium-bodied; Tart cherry flavour up front with a short sweetness and not much malt-one dimensional. Aftertaste sharp and bitter from the cherries-not left smooth! Overall, a decent cherry lambic-not smooth or refined, but good to try this rare beer! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Vienna, Virginia on 29-August-2004.

11.2oz bottle: Pours a clear red with some orange and a thin white head, sour wood and cherries in the aroma, very acidic and tart flavor that ends with the taste of soggy wood. I wanted to enjoy this beer, but was unable to.

A deep red color. The aroma is sour, with note of vinegar, and it definitely has good cherry notes to it. The taste is refreshing and dry with a sour cherry character. This would be a great beer to drink on a hot day. Fruity, but not at all cloying with a nice balancing tartness.

11.2oz bottle, purchased at Pizzeria Paradiso - Georgetown. Pours a dark ruby color; very thin, off-white head with patchy lacing. Funky overripe cherries and strawberries and musty fruits in the aroma; slight tartness and funk. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: red fruits (strawberries, cherries), sticky earthy malts, overripe fruits and a touch of caramel and lingering sugar. Slightly sweetened sticky kriek. Lengthy finish, showing bitter cherries and bready malts; sweetness is reasonably well-contained.

Dark Red Coloring. No Head. Cherry Aroma..Musty Cherries.... and the Flavor is Those SAME Cherries After Sitting on the Table for a YEAR....Almost Like a Burnt Old Cherry Taste. Crisp At the End... Not Quite My Favorite....

Strawberry, apricot - acidic nose. Light brown-red color, no head, light carbonation. Acidic Strawberry taste, diminishes fast. On Draft at the GBBF 2003: Cherry comes more through than anything else. Nice medium finish - some metallic spores. Nice.

Bottle pours deep ruby with a minor light pinkish hued head.   Little carbonation with a good head.   Aroma is vinous, along with a cherry tinge.   Up front its very cherry, vinous, but towards the end it finishes rather quickly.   Light oak tinge, but definitely not as complex as the Duchesse De Bourgogne.   Sour/tartness on the aftertaste.   Very drinkable, but could stand to have a bit more in the palate & flavor.

Ruby with fast fading pink head. Cherry nose. Cherry flavor borders on vinergar. Not one of the better ones of this style
