Nov 1, 2004 Deep red body, thin off-white head. Fruit skin aroma, very woody and musty, with a sulfuric twang that smells like artificial fart spray (ugh). The sulfuric character is also notable in the flavor and lends a strange funk to the sour, thin, woody body. There’s a bit of cherry tartness but overall this feels watered-down. I don’t like this one as well as I liked the Vichtenaar Flemish Ale.

Nov 15, 2009 (draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Reddish color with a light pink head. Aroma is tart with some mildly sweet cherry notes. Nice and funky notes as well. Flavor is much the same. A nice and tart sour note at the beginning with a mildly sweet and natural cherry flavors. Very earthy and funky. Flavor doesn’t last long, but still good.

Oct 26, 2007 On tap @ Ølbaren. Quite tart and fruity with a little sourness bite. Pours reddish brown with a small head. Cherries and vinegar notes - a bit too sweet though.

May 15, 2008 Bottle, thanks to yngwie! Pinkish short-lived head. Clear deep red to light ruby colored body with noisy carbonation. Fresh and sour, light vinegar-ish cherries in the aroma. Notes of wood anf cellar. Taste is less sour; cherries with an acidic twist and some barnyard notes. Crisp and lively mouthfeel. Dry fruity mineralic finish. A likeable quencher.

Dec 22, 2008 On tap at B2B. Deep dark copper red in color with a off white head. Sour funky cherry grape aroma. Yeasty fruity flavor. Sour cherry notes. Tart cherry taste. Finish is sour. Very nice. Very drinkable.

Mar 21, 2007 Pours crystal clear reddish bronze with a bubbly pinkish tan head. The aroma has musty overripe red cherries with light sweetness and some sourness. Medium / thin mouthfeel that is crisp and refreshing with some light underscored prickly carbonation. The flavor starts with tart and sour cherries, vinegar notes, dark cherries, some vineous notes along with the tannins - very crisp and fairly dry. The finsih is short, sharp and crisp. A wonderfully refreshing beer. This would be great on a summer evening. Thumbs up for this fine Flemish Sour.

Jun 9, 2004 Ruby red in colour. Aroma of sour cherries, mild tartness. Flavour of cherries, sweet and sour, medium tartness. Medium body. Finishes acidic, very clean. I really enjoyed this.

Sep 10, 2007 bottle - Pours a beautiful ruby red with a thin head. The aroma is of very ripe cherries. It has a sweet, lightly tart flavor that’s just all cherries with maybe the slightest hint of some spice. This medium bodied brew was okay, but underwhelming when compared to the other offerings I’ve had from this brewery.
