Oct 20, 2003 Nice deep glowing russet rose color with a thin, light tannish head with a bit of off-pinkish tone to some of it in thicker areas. Fades fast to a thin ring and lace in fast dripping strings and spots.
Smell is a souring cherry tinge and wild oaky sweetness with some yeasty meat-like bacon notes. Taste has a quick hold of souring cherry, substantially biting and sweet oakyness with a nice little tart kick. Notes of yeasty uncrisp bacon laying on the side of the oak character, kinda weird but nice. Simple and pleasing, not a overbearing cherry fruitness, just alot of cherry character in the sour and tart areas which it has a good portion of. Pretty full feel upfront with a quickening hit of souring then eases out and finds lots of tart cherry dryness and oaky sweetness. A pretty decent, quite powering little brew, a pleasure to drink.

Feb 13, 2008 definate cherry red color little bit of pink head nose is cherry with some sourness in there too. flavor is sour with some nice cherry notes, maybe some vanilla , nice beer , not crazy but good

May 24, 2008 Pours a very murky reddish brown with a medium sudsy beige/pink head. Strong woody tart sour cherry aroma. Sweet and tart. Extreme sour cherries with some wood and very little vinegar. Pretty straight forward for what it is. Medium body with very crisp soda like carbonation. Quafable.

Jul 2, 2003 Rich burgundy/red w/ small pink head. Light tart cherry & barnyard aroma. Light, lively feel. Nice sour cherry, barnyard, & leather flavour.

Jun 30, 2003 An interesting, but not intense, sour nose that resembled cherry flavored wax. A ruddy brown color with red hues. The flavor was not as bad as the aroma, but still, was not outstanding. Moderate sourness, some acidity, and a short and unpleasant finish do not a good beer make. Interesting to try, but not something I really want again.

May 19, 2009 25 cl bottle. Sour cherry aroma, caramel and citrus. Very nice. Rich cherry and caramel flavor, lots of citrus, very sour. Amazingly fruity. Complex, though with something medicinal as well. Yet the nice malty caramel with underlying sweetness balances the sour fruit. Blood red color. High carbonation. Very nice.

Sep 28, 2008 Bottle from 08 Night of the Funk. Aroma of rich, tart and sweet fruits. Flavor of nice, tart cherries. Fun stuff.
