Nice, deep ruby profile. Lots of sweet cherries and wood. Ligh vanilla notes. Supercarbonated with a very thick, tangy finish.

On tap @ Hopleaf. Deep ruby pour with medium, creamy, white head. Aroma of big tart cherries, some port and malt. Tastes tart cherryish, with a medium, fruity, smooth finish.

tap at City Beer, SF. pours with a reddish color and a pinkish head. Aroams of cherries and some lemon. Flavorsr are not as sour as for example a Mort Subite. there is more fruit and less sourness, quite nice on the palate, I would say it is more accessible than some of the other lambics.

Beautiful to look at but somewhat disappointing to drink. Lacks the real cherry bite of several other krieks, tending towards a slightly candyish, over-fizzy, approach. I don’t find it as sour as some of the other reviewers. Not bad, but not a favorite for cherry beers.

Clear ruby red with a thin head and some lacing. Burnt cherry and funk in the nose. Canned cherry pie flavor. Not very good kriek.

A full-bodied brown ale made with cherries. Has an intense fruit flavor, but no sweetness - and yet, doesn’t have the sourness of a lambic. Worth trying.

[bottle] Reddish brown in color, with a light ring of white foam around the edge. Aroma is tart and fruity, with plenty of cherries. Slight vinegar. Mildly acidic flavors blend well with some sweetish brown malts and fruit. Nice oak complexity. Very dry, tart finish.

12oz bottle dated best before 14-08-09. Clear pink-red color with light pink bubbles. Smells like a little vinegar and cherries. Sweet-sour cherry taste, syrupy, sticky, interesting beer. The stickiness is a little much for my liking but the flavor is better than average. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 02-22-2009 04:30:29
