Bottle. Deep, reddish-brown color, pinkish head. Aroma of sour cherries and some earthy tones. Beautiful cherry flavor, with well-balanced sweetness. One of the best krieks I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.

Bottle at Monks....7/15/08.....Ruddy brown with an off-brown head....a musty cherry aroma mixed with a shellfish scent very similar to mussels...flavors are pretty similar.....a light body and a dirty cherry taste followed by mussels...its just odd...yet strangely drinkable...Rating made possible by Frank and Paul

Bottle shared with Carlus 12 at Hoopers, Camberwell, London. A nice way to see in number 500 with a sour ale. Nose is sour, lambic, cream and yeast. The aroma is so deep that it seems to suck you in. Pours a deep mahogany coour beer with a fluffy white head. Cherry, oak, bitter, malt, sweet, vinegar and sharp to boot. Brilliant.

11.2 oz bottle, best by 8/14/09. Pours a clear deep red with a fizzy rose head that retains well and leaves some big bubbled lacing.

The aroma is acidic and tart cherries, wood, yeast and some sweet candy sugar.

The flavor is sweet acidic cherries with a strong tart sour tang to it, a bit of funky yeast and wood show up as well. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and syrupy with a bit of sharp carbonation.

Overall, a fun sour ale - one of the better ones I’ve had. The sweetness and tartness are a bit strong, but I liked this quite a bit.

Bottled. Dark red in colour. Minor red head. It has a sweet and cherry like aroma. The flavour is sweet but there is a sour tone at the same time. Kinda bitter really. Quite enjouable.

Poured into a tulip deep crayola red body with a nice pink head smelled of fruits and red wine tasted slightly like calistoga sparking juice. the sweetness cloyed the yeast and the funk was just intermittent. sweet, but the high carbonation helped it from sticking to the tongue. overall not bad.

Deep blood red with foamy pink head that dissolved more like a soda than a beer. Cherry smell, sourness, wine-like scent. Quite sour, carbonated, I can see the vinegarness here too. A little metallic in the finish. Nice Kriek, one of the better sours that I have tried.

Red-brown with a pinkish head. Aroma of fermented cherries and a substantial oakiness. Sour cherries and some vinous notes in the flavor, while the finish screams oak. Tasty.
