Aroma of wood, vinegar, funk, cherry. Body tending to light, along with the carbonation. Sweet and sour cherry taste that finishes a bit woody. Nice and refreshing. Sweetshop clarity and some sugar, but nibbles with genuine lambic/sour ale character. Lurking wood, acid, alcohol and even a hint of cheese. The natural sweetness of the fruit without it being overpowering. Definitely not a ’ladybeer’. A find. riversideAK (2792), Shoreline, Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2009 on tap, Wurstkuche. Pours bright red/pink with a small white head. Aroma is tart cherry, strawberry and lemonade. Flavor starts with bright cherry fruit and sugar. Might be some lemony notes as well. In the middle comes tartness, contributing a refreshing zip to this beer. Finishes clean. Overall, a clean, refreshing fruit drink. However, one is slightly bored by the one-sidedness of the flavor by half-glass. MrChopin (687), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Transparent ruby with a small strawberry/cream head. Nose is acidic, rather plain, some sweet cherry but not much of anything. Flavor has lots of cherry, some woody leaf, spice, slightly balsamic but not overpoweringly so. Short finish. Enjoyable, but not very interesting. noompa (130), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2009 On tap @ Hopleaf. Rust colored; sweet aroma w/ notes of wood, cherries and nuts; flavor mostly of cherries; finishes dry and woody; I am told this is reminiscent of the Rodenbach Alexander- reminded me of a fruity Duchesse actually; onderful aroma and an alright beer on the whole.
