A red beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is slightly sweet with notes of wood and cherries. The flavor is boring of cherries, and dry wood with the carbonization tickling the tongue. The end is very dry with notes of over-ripe cherries.

Smelled really good, like fresh black cherries. Strong tart cherry flavor, almost a sour candy quality. Sampled with some dark chocolate and it really perked up. Great with food, but not so great on it’s own.

this is yet another journey into "sour-land" for me.im a bit nervous so here we go.this sour ale pours a see through crimson body with a small white head.aromas are of hot alcohol, sour funk, and cherry ludens.flavor is much of the same.with a little smoke, oak, and sherri thrown in.different but not bad.

Deep rich ruby red with an effervescent fast-fading pink head. Aromas of fresh mashed chokecherries (I’m serious-- this reminded me immediately of the smell in the kitchen when my dad made chokecherry jam when I was a kid) and something musty/earthy. Fresh sweet & sour cherry juice flavour with a definite sour finish that squeezes the saliva from your mouth in the first few sips. There is more here though, something woody and earthy and faintly yeasty too. Beguiling and different and quite good.

25 cl. bottle. Pours a clear deep amber-red colour with a fizzy short lasting head. Sour cherry aroma with a slight rubber touch, alcohol and slight wood. The flavour is sweet and quite sour with cherries, malt, bit woody and a touch of rubber. Sour cherry dry finish.

Found some of my notes from the 2008 Stone Sour Fest. Clear dark cherry color with a thin white head. Slightly sour aroma. Sweet cherry flavor with some light sour hints.

Sampled on draught: Pours a bright bright ruby red colour with an enormous white head. Aroma is fruity and enticing, licorice, raspberries and cherries on the nose. Taste is creamy, definately well carbonated in the mouthfeel. Flavours of cherries, peaches and soft oak.
