Aromas of fresh mashed chokecherries (I’m serious-- this reminded me immediately of the smell in the kitchen when my dad made chokecherry jam when I was a kid) and something musty/earthy. Fresh sweet & sour cherry juice flavour with a definite sour finish that squeezes the saliva from your mouth in the first few sips. There is more here though, something woody and earthy and faintly yeasty too. Beguiling and different and quite good. faroeviking (6125), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2008 Bottle purchased yesterday at Nikki’s Liquor in Providence. Date is best before 10/18/08. Pours a really nice dark red with a tan half finger nose. Taste is very tart with a nice cherry feeling, the kriek aspect of this is interesting and all over the place and overall its a tasty sour. Not the best and not the worst. ElGaucho56 (393), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2007 12 oz bottle, into tulip snifter glass. Pours a luscious tone of pink-red with slightly red tinted, quickly dissapearing head. Nose is dominated by sour cherries, but unusual hints of vinegar, wood, and a very slight malt sweetness show up. Spritzy but thin on the palate, sour cherries give a slight puckering sensation, turns into a strange menthol-like finish. If you like the style this is a decent example. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
