This had a whiff of cherry, a bit like the Liefmans. Good sourness but the cherries don’t over power it. Good kriek beer with good balance. Maybe could do with a touch more malt wetherel (1636), Encinitas, California, USA

Nice clear reddish mahogany color with smallish fizzy head.
Smells sweet, brown candy sugar, vinegary, dusty fruit, hints at cherry. Smells like Duchesse d B. with a bit of cherry.
Sweet, slightly tart, vinegary acid, dusty cherry.
Pretty drinkable, but pretty sweet. DownsouthGav (602), Greater London, England

A nice way to see in number 500 with a sour ale. Nose is sour, lambic, cream and yeast. The aroma is so deep that it seems to suck you in. Pours a deep mahogany coour beer with a fluffy white head. Cherry, oak, bitter, malt, sweet, vinegar and sharp to boot. Brilliant. LilBeerDoctor (1508), East Setauket, New York, USA

Farmy undertones. Wonderful brown red color. Taste is good, but the leftovers are great. This funkiness in the aftertaste hangs out and bounces around the mouth for a long time. The quote I wrote at the time was the leftovers hang out and party in my mouth. floydian1 (286), FNQ, Australia

Appears as a spritzy cherry red beer with a short lasting fine cream pink head. Obvious nose of cherries with background sour and woody aromas plus a hint of red wine vinegar. The taste is tart up front with the restrained cherry sweetness hitting the tongue later on. It has nicely balanced sweet and sour flavours. Medium bodied with a lively mouthfeel. Excellent.
