Clear sparkling yellow color. Aroma of fruit, yeast, light malty notes, hint of citrus and a twist of spice. Over the palate came light vinous and alcohol, grain and again fruity. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitterness and acidic. Warming grainy light spicy sweet finish. Adenila (942), Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Well out of date bottle from under the stairs. Now I’ve broken my Xmas duck and I’m off to Bruges BELGIAN STASH BEWARE. Big stable irregular head on innocuous-looking orange amber beer. Pip-like black floaties. Campino strawberry and vanilla aroma paired almost exquisitely with oaky, butterscotchy tones and light apricot fruit. Gently buttery and acetic, with honey and Saaz chipping in as it warms. Mouth can’t really match that. Cask, butter and almond present. Bit vacuous and lagery for a 7.2% Belgian Xmas brew. Noble hop nibble of pinecone, honey-sweet pale maltiness. Definite metal. Quite fresh and savoury, but a bit drab beyond the snout. Lean, unfussy, faintly coniferous. OK, but unchristmassy. Skinnyviking (4157), Copenhagen, Denmark

Sweet honey fruity aroma. Flavor also quite fruity but with the addition of a bit of coriander. Low carbonation, long sweet aftertaste. Alcohol percentage seems just right.
