Oct 9, 2004 A hazy deep red beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is primarily sour, but also malty. The flavor is both sweet and sour with notes of berries. This is in the mild end of the style, but very nice.

Jun 19, 2007 Good looking pour, having a clear deep brown body highlighted in ruby and topped by a healthy light tan head. Good lacing, too. It’s got an aroma of tart cherries, vinegar, and cold iron. The flavor is more fruity and more sour as well. Highly carbonated, it finishes on a refreshingly tart note. Feb 1, 2008 Bottled. Very dark ruby red colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sour fruits and also sourish notes from freshly cut wood rowan berries. Flavour is sour fruits along with some mild sweetness to balance it up. The aftertaste is quite sweetish sourness in a very pleasant way. Though 3.5%, it does feel like a lot more in my opinion.

Jan 30, 2005 A low alcohol beer from Verhaeghe, how interesting! Pours dark redbrown with a fine tan head. Sourish aroma with a vinous tone. Fruity and cheesy notes. Flavor is sweet with a sour edge. Fruity and sugary with vinegar notes. I believe it is made from the same base as the other Verhaeghe beers. Very nice specially for a 3,5% beer! Thanks Jacob for this hard to find brew.

Jun 14, 2004 This is the rare tafelbier of Verhaeghe. Because Duchesse De Bougogne was awarded best wedding beer at the Danish Beer Festival 2004, I got a case of this and the Duchesse for free by the brewer when I visited Karakterbierweekend in Vichte. Very pleasant acidic aroma. The flavour is Very sweet and malty with wort notes and some acidity in the background.Full bodied considering the low ABV.

Aug 11, 2004 Reddish-brown colour. Sweet, slightly sour character with a hint of caramel and sugar. Finish, though, is tart, with a hint of fruitiness.

Dec 18, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Aroma of iron and brown sugar. Light body with immediate notes of iron and a light tartness quickly relieved by the dark sugars. An interesting light Flemish Sour and probably would be a pleasant session beer. Somewhat underrated. 171206
