palate:too bubbly for me, LilBeerDoctor (635), East Setauket, New York, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle sampled on 09/26/08 at Night of the Funk. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of raisins and fig. Flavor of raisin bread with a sour finish. Wow, this beer is quite tasty! I love its breadiness. I wish I could get some more of it. fredandboboflo (627), East Setauket, New York, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle from 08 Night of the Funk. Aroma of cheesy funk, lots of fig, some raisin. Flavor also has a bunch of raisin and is equal parts tart and sour. Nice. Blom (408), Odense, Denmark Sep 22, 2008 Brown with a low head and bubbling carbonation. Aroma of basement, wet soil and oak. Starts out sweet and sugarish and then goes into sourness developing an acidic cherry and oak like character. The carbonation is lively which suits the beer well in this case. All in all an impressive, sweet and refreshing Oud Bruin. Bravo!
