Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark May 4, 2008 Bottle. A ruby beer with a big beige head. The aroma and taste is heavy on the caramel side, sweet and alcoholic, some notes of fruit. Medium to full body with a sweet alcoholic finish. Quit good!
Mogwai (189), Askeby, Denmark Jul 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours a red / brown colour with short lasting head. Aroma is caramel and malts. Flavor is spicy with caramel and malts, but also very sweet, with a massive alcoholic feel in the end. Not as good as the 2006 version (but that was a Barley Wine), but still a good beer, which will hopefully improve after some years in the cellar. Thomas_E (5065), Copenhagen, Denmark May 7, 2008 Deep amber, reddish colour with a beige head. Malty, sweet aroma with notes of caramel, molasses, alcohol and chocolate. Malty, light roasted flavor with fruit and chocolate notes. Sweet, light dry finish with a light alcohol note. Bragesnak (1338), Aarhus, Denmark Apr 27, 2008 DØ meeting, Aarhus Syd, Feb 2008

Much too alcoholic. Caramel sweet. Hop bitterness is low to abscent BeerBiker (1209), Odense, Denmark Mar 20, 2008 [Sampled at Carlsens.] Good work from Assens. Maybe they’ll win again, but I don’t hope it. This bock has too much alcohol and need time in the celler maturing to next year. Then it’ll be better.
