| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy, deep golden amber/brown with a frothy beige/yellowish head. Good lacing. Aroma is sweetish with notes of hops, malt and dark fruits as well as slight notes of paint thinner. As it warms, the dark fruits take over, but still includes the paint thinner. Sweet flavour with notes of paint thinner. Some fruity notes as it warms, banana. Grainy, bit alcoholic finish. Lingering grassy notes. Oily palate. Overall, the relatively high alcohol % hasn’t been too well-incorporated in the beer. 05-11-09.
