Sweet malty taste with a good amount of sharpish bittering hops. Notes of black pepper, fruits and alcohol. Medium-bodied, oily texture. Malty and light spicy finish.

MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Oct 1, 2008 Bottle, 8.0%. Sweet and malty aroma. Clear chestnut colour, creamy tan head. The flavour is slightly malty and peppery with hints of anis and a tad of sourness. Hint of vegetable in the aftertaste. Not bad. Not an ESL IMO. Cloying sweet flavour with toasted malt and Caramel notes. Ends sweet with warming alcohol. pilsnerrogge (1609), Finspång, Sweden Aug 30, 2008 Bottled: Pours clear copper with a firm head. Brief aroma of liquorice, marzipan, alcohol and vomit. Thick mouth-feel. Sweet and malty with lots of alcohol. Crap lager. armando629 (434), Budapest, Hungary Aug 16, 2008 Dark amber, clear body, small delicious filmy white head. Moderated caramel aroma of mat, some yeast, roasted grains. In the taste is more caramel character with liqueric alcohol, some nuts or almond, no bitterness. Drinkable but not my favourite danish beer.
