Sweet and slightly yeasty toast-malty aroma with notes of toffee, peanuts, a mildly fruity touch of blackberries and shades of alcohol. Sweet and slightly vinous-acidic flavour, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Toasty malty base with a light but present fruitiness, well-embedded and delicate notes of caramel/toffee; moderately sweet and roasty bitter finish, again with vinous accents. Pretty flavourful and rounded brew. 15.XI.09 Madsnp (627), Odense C, Denmark

Chocolate aroma and strong chocolate flavor, very good; the body has a medium strength; the bitterness is low; the final is a bit nutty; there is some caramel and the malt is never burnt. Not complex but well brewed chocolate beer. cgarvieuk (4214), Edinburgh, Scotland

Possibly the best Dubbel I have tried and would certainly be in my fridge regularly if I lived in Belgium.
