On tap at Vices et Versa. The color is a hazy amber with a thick beige head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy. The taste is also of hops with some citrus fruits. Added to the taste is also some malt. The finish is of course that great bitter taste of a good I.P.A.

A nice amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, pleasant hops aroma with caramel malt. In mouth, a nice IPA with floral hops, grapefruits, classic for an IPA. So what is the difference between an IPA and a Imperial PA???On tap at Vices et Versa, April 8 2009.

On tap, Vices et Versa. Pours gold orange with a small head. Aroma is softly floral. Flavor is nicely balanced and subdued for the level of alchohol. Finish is a touch watery, but a solid experience overall.

In short: A very juicy fruity Strong Pale Ale. Very juicy. Very fruity. Very juicy fruity. Ok but too one-dimensional.
How: Tap at Vices & Versa
The look: Cloudy dark golden body topped by a little off-white ring of foam
In long: Shy fruity nose with no specific coming through. This beer mainly tastes like a thick fruit juice, almost like one of those “add three cans of water” concentrate fruit juice can. A little caramel, a little honey, but mainly this is a thick fruit juice. Citrus, mangos, gooseberries, peach, pineapples and all. Mild bitterness. Lacked caramel, toastiness, something. A good beer but just too juicy for me. It would be a great if one night I’d go out to Vices et Versa and come back with a story juicier than their beer.

My Bottom Line:
Vigorous citrus fruit grow through chewy cereals and their agile caramel, building a balanced and highly flavorful Imperial Pale Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam lays atop the cloudy amber.
-The citrus fruit character takes on orange and mango juiciness throughout.
-The finishing bitterness is rather leafy and well sustained.
-The body on this one is quite round, yet never gets in the way of big gulps.

On tap at Vices et Versa.
