bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Nov 10, 2007 Although still pretty pathetic, this is more drinkable than regular VB. I guess the fact that it’s a weaker version serves to make it more drinkable - it’s only half as offensive. Less beery and more like a soft-drink, complete with huge CO2 bubbles. No surprises - it’s as crap as you’d expect.
beer_ledgend (796), Meadowbank Auckland, New Zealand Aug 11, 2008 Smelt of the Tourist town, Rotorua, as soon as I opened the bottle. Clear bright gold colour with thin white head that disapated quickly. Bland thin and watery with mild metalic bit at the end. rmussman (691), California, USA Jul 7, 2008 Hmm. Interesting. Its not too bad. The alchohol is kinda weak. Overall its got a decent flavor and is worth a try. thesimmos (13), Brisbane, Australia May 1, 2008 This beer wishes it was XXXX gold. and tastes like VB missing its legs. Still it is better than being offered a cartlon mid.
I would buy either this or gold depending what is on sale. Thylacine (179), Tasmania, Australia Apr 20, 2008 A little on the thin and watery side with a high carbonation. Mild to moderate bitterness with a slight metallic taste. Drinkable (it must be as I just drank it) but but just as uninteresting as most other mass produced pale lagers jkm (153), Australia Apr 20, 2008 Clear gold/amber colour with a very thin white head. Thin bodied with average carbonation. Bland, watery and boring...VB with less alcohol....Not a good beer.
