Appearance: more appealing on a hot summers day.

All the Aussies traveling abroad and talking about VB must have done it solely to dupe Americans that travel to Australia. Drank in Sydney near Chinatown. rickgordon (3313), Göteborg, Sweden

Golden colour. Hops are present in aroma. Also, the good old feeling of "this is what beer smelled when I was a kid" is there. Hop flavour is detected, light bitterness.Pretty flawless. Bit dry and old fashioned. Yes, this is what lager beer tasted in the 70´s? strings (361), Sydney, Australia

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 22, 2006 After barely being able to finish my Fosters Special Bitter, I found this just a tad bit better. The aroma was on the sweet side of things with a citrusy aroma, like orange juice gone bad. Appearance was a dark reddish/brown. Mouthfeel was pretty watery. The bitterness in the drink wasn’t all that bad and perhaps the best beer I’ve had so far from Oz. I won’t be going out of my way though to find this mediocre beer as there’s plenty of that being brewerd here in the states. GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland

Gets you drunk if you drink enough of it i suppose :/ mash351 (1), Australia does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 20/20 | May 13, 2006 Well guys imagine youve been digging holes all day.... its hot.....youll have a bloody big thirst to quench..... thats what VB is for, sure its not a beer fairies beer but a its a real bewdy to sink after a days hard work. and keep sinkin all night. often called the Green Death cause the next day after a hard one your pretty crook.
