Commercial Description:
Victoria Bitter has been Australia's favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

Abominable. The taste of chemicals is overbearing. Harsh and nasty. No wonder it is served at a temperature low enough to avoid having to taste this carbonated wees.

Bottle. White head. Golden boday. Grassy aroma. Weak and watery hops flavor. Hardly offending anybody, should rather boring a good deal of people.

Rather bland with a sweet and sour taste to it. Taste is accetable a low degrees, but a low carbonation and sourness makes it terrible at higher temperatures.

Small, white head, clear yellow body. Sourish, marzipany aroma with floral hop notes. Sour, bitter taste with vague floral hop notes. Metallic sourish taste lingering. Yuck! This is awful! What’s going on? Why did they make it like this? (Bought it thinking it was a UK-style bitter , only to get a rude surprise.)

Bottled. A copper coloured lager with a malty grassy aroma. The taste is quite malty and sweetish. It is actually quite crisp and drinkable. Fairly decent.

VB isnt actually that bitter. I know there are many that would disagree with me on this one but really there are many beers (such as Emu Bitter) that are harshly bitter and leave a worse taste in your mouth. This stuff isnt great by any means but it is pretty easy to drink and is lovely on a summers day. You really have to be in the mood for it though.. sometimes it goes down easier than others. As a fairly standard, run of the mill Aussie lager I still can’t understand why this beer outsells all others in Australia and continues to be an Aussie icon. Im pretty sure its the advertising and the famous VB music that has done it!!

Bottle. Clear lighter gold and translucent, not much head, which died quickly. Light malty aroma with a touch of spicy noble-ish hop, and a hint of veggie corn. More light malty flavors with some slightly-metallic hop and grainy corn. Fairly clean and light-bitter finish.
