Commercial Description:
Victoria Bitter has been Australia's favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

Nondescript watery cantaloups run away with the very timid hops...Only fizz is left with the dumbfoundedness of why they actually call this "bitter...

This is one of the brews that made me apathetic to Australian brewing. Very bitter bit not in a nice Pilsner style and doesn't (taste to me) like it actually contains malt.

2 words, bitter & gaseous. Why do so many people drink this! Although it seems to have an appeal to true Aussie blokes, I still don't get it. The morning after, if you so desire, the lingering smell of a pee-trough, and the winds of only something the devil could produce shall be your reward.

Draught. The Ozzie lout's favourite session beer. It's more Australian then Fosters. This is the beer that every kid in NSW and Victoria learns to drink on mass. Larger gold, plenty of white bubbles, plenty of bitter hop taste. Good length on the palate.

They served up a decent batch of this at the Cronulla-Easts game on the weekend.

Much more bitter than I thought it'd be. Not like an English Bitter which generally seem to have little to no hops. This was much worse than Amstel Bier.

I remember when this beer was released on tap in NSW. I had to find a pub with it so I could sink a draught Veeb. How times change. If the pub doesn't have it I am pleased that something better could be available in its place. I do drink it occasionally as it is often the only alternative to a disgusting light beer at parties or other events. Doesn't mean I would buy it though. This is a typical Aussie mass produced brew. No hop aroma, little body and too gassy.
