Some pale malts and strong hop characters on the nose. Very weak malt flavour and minimal hop flavour. Medium but nearly pungent bitterness with no distinctive finish. Some times feels a bit watery.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 6, 2009 Not great, but not all that bad either. Pale golden color. Bitter flavor, with a touch of the metallic, though this can vary from bottle to bottle--more pronounced in some than in others. Light on the palate. Sort of the Australian version of Budweiser, but you could do worse than a cold VB on a hot Australian day. ComradeK (69), Australia
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Dec 20, 2008 This beer confirms the reason behind the cultural cringe prevalent in Australia. With this macro muck the best selling beer in the country, it is hardly surprising that many Australians consider themselves inferior to the rest of the world. This tastes almost, but not quite, entirely unlike beer. Chief sensation on both the nose and the palate is water, and this is the overwhelming feeling throughout the beer. There is, however, an unpleasant metallic note that lingers throughout. To me, this suggests that this is actually merely tapwater, the metallic hint and yellowish colour being due to rust in the pipes. As an Australian beer drinker, I must end by launching an appeal. Although this is the most popular beer in Australia, please do not judge Australian beer in general based upon it. We do make some things that are worth drinking. SeanMacGC (255), Dublin, Ireland

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Oct 18, 2008 375ml bottle, shared with Finn at Blå Rock Cafe in Tromsø. Clear golden with a ring of bubbles on the top. Perfumed fruity to the nose. Hints of sweet lemon in flavour. Soft carbonation. A beer that does not live up to its name - the bitter part is almost missing (17.10.2008). WalterSmidge (14), Sydney, Australia

Now for Australians, this beer really divides the people who are beer lovers and those who are beer consumers. The benefits of this beer is that it is cheap and there is no liquor store that does NOT sell it.
I found it hard to review this beer as i would any other because of this and so i will keep it short.
Look: Brown
Aroma: None. (it is a cold served beer)
Taste: Bitter. Possible hops.
It is a great beer to get drunk on, heck i would not turn one down on a hot day with a big peice on steak. And it seems to work well in the Beer Coke mix that i seem to be in the favorable minority of. But as a beer standing up against the world... its got nothing.
