On tap at Victory. Cask. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of citrus, orange peels, floral, and some pine. Tastes of citrrus, floral, light pine with a nice grapefruit bitter finish.

[Cask @ Victory] Poured a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, citrus fruits, floral hops, light toast, and toffee. Taste of citrus, grapefruit, light pine, some honey, lemon, some grass, and a dry, bitter finish.

I’m not sure that this is really a 4.2 beer, but a glass at the brewery, fresh from the cask, pulled with a hand pump, was a pretty remarkable thing. The head, the lacing, and the palate of a hand pulled beer is just wonderful and it probably adds a couple of tenths to the overall rating; bottled, or even kegged, it might not be quite the same. Taste and nose are in harmony, floral hops, bitter hops, citrus hops, sweet caramel, malts, and more hops.

Draught at the Brewery: Aroma of hops, caramel, citrus, and some musty basement. Poured gold with a hint of amber in color and a thick, creamy, white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Many particles. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of hops, lemon, smarties, and some caramel. Medium body. Smooth texture. Soft carbonation. Sweet hop finish.
