Draft at Capone’s. Medium coppery dark strawish pour with off-white head. The nose has a lot of funky yeast notes, plus spicy floral hops, citrus, peach, and some berry notes. Tastes malty, funky, spicy, with mid-palate hopcitrus and floral spicy notes, and a medium palate. This one tastes pretty Belgian, and is a great example of this style. This one surprised me.

On draft at Hop Devil Grill. Pours a cloudy orange amber with a medium white head. Aroma of perfume and apricot fruit. Taste is mildly apricot fruity with a perfume presence and a watery hoppy feel. Not bad.

Draught @ Eulogy: This one pours a slightly hazy, coppery color. It had a small off-white head and left some lacing. The aroma was nice, but somewhat milder. There were some caramel and bready notes, as well as some fruits and yeastiness. The taste is good, but a bit lighter than I expected. Flavors of caramel, some fruits and a bit of breadiness. Nice and refreshing.

Tap at Barcade. Pale aber beern with a slightly sweet, bready/crackery malt aroma. Soft earthiness and light spice with a touch of banana and apricot character. Soft, minerally character. Light earthy/woody hop flavour with a a fair yeasty spice component and some peach and banana fruitiness. Light sulphury character on the back that is fairly interesting in this style. Good beer and surprisingly refreshing for something that is 6.5% ABV. Earthy and spicy with a soft bitterness. Nice beer.

On tap at Hop Devil. Dry, bready, taco shell aroma. Nice and unique. Flavor starts off similar, fruity, but develops a latent chemical/formaldehyde taste that completely ruins the beer for me. Most others didn’t notice this, although my girlfriend did. Perhaps I am more sensitive to it. Still, it was still quite drinkable, and would have been very nice if not for that.

On tap at HDG. Amber and orange in color with a nice fluffy white head that left a nice lacing on the glass. Hoppy malty aroma. Orangey and spicey hops. Malty and bready flavor. Citrusy hops and yeasty notes. Nicely balanced beer. Finish is malty and bready. Medium bodied. Nice beer. Very drinkable.
