| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Tap at Barcade. Pale aber beern with a slightly sweet, bready/crackery malt aroma. Soft earthiness and light spice with a touch of banana and apricot character. Soft, minerally character. Light earthy/woody hop flavour with a a fair yeasty spice component and some peach and banana fruitiness. Light sulphury character on the back that is fairly interesting in this style. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 24, 2007 Draft at Capone’s. Medium coppery dark strawish pour with off-white head. The nose has a lot of funky yeast notes, plus spicy floral hops, citrus, peach, and some berry notes. Tastes malty, funky, spicy, with mid-palate hopcitrus and floral spicy notes, and a medium palate. This one tastes pretty Belgian, and is a great example of this style. This one surprised me. jerc (3964), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2009 2009-08-01. Dark orange amber body with a modest beige head. (3+) Aroma is surprisingly mild, touches of dry malt. (6+) Flavour is similar, pleasant dry malt, lightly alcoholic finish. Toasty malt touches. Modest malty base. Average plus palate. (3+) Enjoyably quaffable, but relatively mild and fails to wow in a crowd of much bolder beers. Still, I could seeing drinking a few of these in an evening quite happily. Seems like a cross between a dubbel and an abbey ale perhaps? On tap at BCTC 2009
