Commercial Description:
Exhibiting a deep, chestnut color and malty aroma All Malt Dark Lager is a very inviting beer. Mildly malty, with little lingering sweetness to note, Dark Lager is surprisingly refreshing. This is beer as it was meant to be, firm and satisfying. Seasonal specialty available January - April on draft.

Victory All Malt Dark Lager pours to a beautiful, bright, light chestnut color with a creamy white head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is incredible. Deep, toasty, slight sweet and nutty aromas are balanced with just the right amount of grassy hop aromas. The palate is firm with fantastic dark malt flavors of toast, nuts, and slighty sweet malt. The body is very round and smooth, making this an exceptionally clean dunkles. All Malt Dark Lager finishes with more of the deep malt character up front, and then drys out to perfection with a balancing grassy hop bite that slightly lingers. Wow. Stylistically this beer is flawless, and is so drinkable, you can not help but reach for another one. This beer would make a perfect session beer, and will work extemely well with a number of dishes. You can match this with anything from a pizza, to a nice juicy hamburger, to grilled bratwurst, to a roasted chicken or pork dinner. This beer is a seasonal, so if Victory beers are available in your market it, look for this one, ask for this one, and enjoy this amazing dark lager!

Best before Aug. 15, sampled September 18. I have waited to try this for years and was happy to find that it was even better than I had anticipated. Big sweet malt which came into focus and dried out perfectly with a little hop spice, a malty crack and even a bit of acidic snap. Reminds me a lot of Victory’s old All-Malt Dortmunder, actually, just a shade darker in appearance and in malt character. A new favorite.

It’s nice to have a friend who lives in Rhode Island, who once a quarter sends me beers from the East and Northeast, I send him beers from the West and Northwest, This time it’s Victory. Malty, semi-sweet, fair hops and a wonderful yeasty grainy aroma.

A decent alternative to the regular Victory lager. Medium brown in color, slight reddish tint. A little bit sweeter and maltier than the standard All Malt Lager. Not being a huge lager fan, I find myself enjoying this beer more and more.

Tap at Barcade. Glad to see this. Pours yellow with a bright white ring. Light slightly malty nose. Taste is sweet, malty rich and amazingly drinkable.

For a Dunkel this is pretty good. I would have liked it if it had more hop flavor and bitterness but a good malty brew, you will like this. I thought the appearance was pretty good for a dunkel, if it were any darker they would have to call it a schwartzbier but the slightly lighter brown color is suiting to the style. I have had other darks that werent as good, you need to get this one fresh, as i have had some other dark lagers like penn dark that were old and you can certainly taste the difference. A must try if you like others from Victory.
