| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2005 (Old rating moved from the Helles where it was mistakenly placed.) Draft at brewery. Pale golden with a foamy white head. Bready malt aroma with a slight metallic tinge. The flavor is also very bready. Medium light body with a very crisp finish. Pretty decent for what it is, a session lager. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 26, 2005 On tap at Old Bay? I guess it is though this says Retired. Oh well, it was under the name Victory Limited Lager and the description is word for word the one here. A decent lager that definitely has a lot going for it. Flavor...what a concept. Still, not as good as their prima pils. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 28, 2005 Still a couple more of these left at Subs and Sixes. Pours a pale yellow/gold body with a small whitish head. Kind of a dry, carmel malt nose with a subtle hint of honey. Flavors is a bit too far onto the lemony side. A little carmel but it’s hard to get past the tartness. Maybe too old!? whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2004 Cottony white head and a golden body with a surprisingly huge load of suspended sediment. Is this bottle-conditioned? Medium carbonation. Lightly toasted malt nose plus citrus and buttery notes. Mild sulfury, lager funk. Light malt and lemon flavor with even more lemony tartness in the finish. Very low bitterness. Bottle lacked a best by date found on other Victory beers and may have been less than fresh. This was a dull and disappointing beer. The Victory Helles lager was far superior.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 5, 2004 Found a bottle while restocking my beer fridge. Pale gold colored, with aroma of malt, hopcit, slight wheat. Tastes malty, slightly light on the palate. I’m not sure why they stopped making this, but it wasn’t half bad... willblake (2190), Belcamp, Maryland, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 31, 2004 07.28.04 bottle. I just dug these up and the date on the bottle was about 9 months old; they have been refrigerated throughout their lives. Gave them a shot anyway and tried the fresher stuff at the same time. Smells and looks a bit like pilsener, maybe a bit like a malty Bud. Flavors are not very pleasing to me: cardboard, envelope glue, grass seed. I’m not thrilled. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2004 Appearance: typically transparent, pale yellow color, short, off-white head.
Aroma: initially decent, dry, clean, with a late emerging caramel malt sweetness, mingled with notes of honey, amnd bourbon.
Nice, simple, easy-going taste, are my first impressions, and I was prepared to write this one of as ordinary, but it grew on me, and it got better as we became further acquainted.
Malt is predominant, providing excellent, lip smackin' texture, yummy.
Caramelly sweet, but not too so, it seems like sweet and dry just catch each and amke it a well-matched tango. Sweetness leads, though, and danced the tastebuds it a vigorous fandango.
Fills the mouth with friendliness on it's every entry.
All American lagers should be this good!
