Commercial Description:
Superbly balanced, this authentic version of a German Export-style lager satisfies gloriously. Full, German malts and fine European hops offer subtle harmony. Patient brewing practices and careful aging make it smooth and satisfying.

Well there was a one year old bottle of this at my local bottle shop, since the recipe changed late summer last year, I wanted to see how this held up. Surprisingly it has not gone bad, still quite refreshing. Grassy aroma, and a nice malt and hop balance in the taste. You won't find many more of these, but if you do, I would drink em ASAP. Don't know how much longer they will last.

Clear golden color. Not much aroma at all. Very white froathy head. Great malty flavor and smooth rich finish. A great lager!

Golden color, similar to the pilsner they offer, with very little head...aroma sweet and malty, and flavor dominated by malt. Quite good beer...

A decent export style lager. light malt aroma with some light bread yeast aromas. White head that lasts a normal time. Yellow clear beer with small particles. Up front flavor is a mild sweet mlat, with a light bitterness at the end. I would like to see more up front malt flavors and a little more body. Overall a good export style beer.

this baby has the reputation to be able to do some proverbial back-flips on the ol' trapeze of lager-dom, but my sample just sat there and wouldn't perform. i couldn't find the 'on' switch i guess. i decanted the expected medium yellow beverage with it's attractive and matching creamy off-white head, and sniffed ordinary french bread malts, spaghetti, very dry hop pellets and a sour note. i tasted a brisk carbonation carrying blonde malts and a diminutive honeysuckle sweetness, with a finish of moderate lemon bitterness. both nose and tongue scoured this drink from foam to dregs and couldn't find anything more enthralling than basic refreshment.

Light golden color with a good head. A good lager if you like lagers. I'd rather enjoy a Hop Devil!

Thanks to the divinity of The_Beer_God for sending me this Big V Lager, He is a great brew trader!
Pours a pure golden body…. Loads of effervescence, large white pillow of head. The aroma and flavor are rather malty, crisp with lemon, and caramel, reminds me of freshly baked butter cookies. .honey, parsley, sweet summer corn on the cob……. A touch of hop in the finish, balancing out the sweet maltyness with a cutting lemon hop presence.
