Bland lager taste, not skunky like most lagers but just bland. Its a good lager if you like lagers, but its not my style. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA

Nothing is particularly striking about the flavor or the aroma, but all in all, this is a very pleasant lager. notalush (2676), Denver, Colorado, USA

This is a mighty fine lager. A great balance of light maltiness, sweetness, hops, as wiseguy pointed out. If this were not a Victory beer, I would probably rate it higher, but I hold them to a higher standard. This is a good beer for its style, but Victory makes much better. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 29, 2002 Ahhh the sweet taste of Victory. Im back, hahaha, now let me bring you up to date. Ive been gone for a while, I went through a whole spiritual thing and became a Buddhist monk for about 3 months. The religion was ok, the no talking kina sucked. One day I realized how badly I looked with my head shaved, and then I threw in the towel. But Im back, back like a super ball after its been bounced on the ground. Back like a Chinese brothel hoe house that calls your name in the cool calm night sky. Back like a dog chasing after a speeding car and wonders why he has no front legs and can only bark in sentence fragments and not in full sentences. None of this is a rational thought or makes any kind of sense. But assuming that the best Chinese hoe house is Cha Chas and the best super ball bounces straight to the moon, I would trade it all, every last ball and every last hoe, just to get my arms around a Sean Quinn T-shirt. But as for the beer, all the malts are in the right place here, you even have some floating in the bottle. So cheers to you, Victory All Malt Lager, for it is you who bring out the best in our otherwise darkest hour. nlanza (18), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Just a well made, well balanced lager. Feels good in the mouth, but no after taste. Nothing to dislike, but not in the same league as their other beers. grant (792), Long Beach, CA/Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

More interesting to look at than many lighter lagers. At first sip it was very flavorful but had almost no aftertaste, and not much hops. This was pleasing enough but not challenging enoug hto be memorable. A good refresher. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA

Alot like Great Lakes Dort Gold, and a little less like Wolnzacher, Jahrhundert and Kraftbrau's. I wish I knew precisely what contributed to the difference. Thanks to urbnhaut!
