A little fizzy for the style, grainy, with a soft grassy note. The aroma is good dortmunder, but the palate comes up short. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 29, 2003 Light amber body with small off-white head. Aroma is nicely grassy and floral, with light malty undertones and a hint of medicine. Taste is mildly bitter up front, grassy and floral; mid body is somewhat sweet and fruity (orange), with light spice and the grassy hops lurking in the background; the finish sees the return of the hops slightly stronger than the rest of the beer, but never overwhelming. Nice summer beer. CaptainCougar (5493), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2003 Lightly bitter noble hop aroma. Body is clear and crisp with a nice balance of Munich malt. Finish is hoppy and semi-sweet. A good smooth session beer. hopscotch (5485), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Serve this to your friends who normally drink macro-brewed, American lagers. They should really like it as a crossover brew. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

A little sweet up front, but sour and musty in the finish. I enjoyed it, and for those who have tried Boulevard Bob’s 47, this is surprisingly similar. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 5, 2004 Found a bottle while restocking my beer fridge. Pale gold colored, with aroma of malt, hopcit, slight wheat. Tastes malty, slightly light on the palate. I’m not sure why they stopped making this, but it wasn’t half bad... | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2003 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body
is clear medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (bread, cookie),
moderately hoppy (flowers), with a note of honey. Flavor is moderately
sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Rich malt aroma with
very pleasant hop support (some Hallertauer, I'll wager). This doesn't
get my pulse racing like Wolnzacher's, but it's pretty authentic. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Clear pale golden body with thin white fully diminishing head. Cookie dough-like yeastiness with a lemony character and some grainy, cereal malts. Strong metallic finish. Medium-light body with a sticky texture and low carbonation. Bottle.
