Jul 16, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep amber/light brown colour. A bit of ruby highlights. The aroma is nutty and quite malty. A lot of toast and sweet chewy maltiness. Quite peppery and alcoholic to me, especially as it starts to warm. Strange sticky sweetness as well. Meh, it doesn’t really do it for me.

May 19, 2008 Draft at Victory. Poured clear coppery with off-white head. Nose has caramel malt, mild nuts, brown sugar, some earthy and floral notes. Tastes caramel malty up front, with emerging walnut, brown sugar, hop, and some earthy peaty notes. Not terribly complex, with a medium to light palate heft.

May 7, 2008 Updated: Aug 30, 2008Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, light butterscotch, toasted dough, and nuts. Taste of much of the same, with earthy yeast, toasted malts, and a bit of citrus in the finish.

Jan 25, 2009 .5 liter at Victory. Pours clear ambery copper with a full off white sticky tight head and great lace. Aroma has tons of fresh bready malts, medium toast munich and caravienna, light crackery hint, and fresh spicy hops. Flavor is full of fresh tasted malts, baked french bread, and toasted/honey malts- moderately sweet with light caramel and a nice spicy hop balance - good clean and smooth finish. Another great Lager from Victory.

May 9, 2008 On tap at Victory. Pours a translucent amber with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit and mixed nuts. Flavor of caramel, nuts, light citrus and biscuit. Very malty...lots of caramel.

Nov 19, 2008 Draught at Victory: Aroma of toasting, slight chocolate, malts, and slight roasting. Poured amber in color with a small, off-white head. Sparkling. Slightly hazy. Good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malts, lager yeast, toasting, slight alcohol, dough, and nuts. Medium body. Smooth, oily texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malty, slightly boozy finish.

Jul 20, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Dark red pour with a small foam cap. Nice body with a carbon,veggie flavor, light smoke and red pepper. Clean and easy drinking.
