The aroma is nutty and quite malty. A lot of toast and sweet chewy maltiness. Quite peppery and alcoholic to me, especially as it starts to warm. Strange sticky sweetness as well. Pours clear ambery copper with a full off white sticky tight head and great lace. Aroma has tons of fresh bready malts, medium toast munich and caravienna, light crackery hint, and fresh spicy hops. Flavor is full of fresh tasted malts, baked french bread, and toasted/honey malts- moderately sweet with light caramel and a nice spicy hop balance - good clean and smooth finish. Tastes of malts, lager yeast, toasting, slight alcohol, dough, and nuts. Medium body. Smooth, oily texture. Soft to average carbonation.
