(draft) Medium beige head atop clear dark brown body. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, roast, some chocolate/caramel, coffee. Taste is medium sweet, roast, coffee, some chocolate, light spice. Fair amount of coffee bitterness. Smooth light-medium body, bery drinkable.

Tap at Hop Devil Lounge. Great aroma. Nice soft chocolate and cocoa up front. There is a nice herbal/spicy character that reminds me a bit of root beer. Heavy cocoa and a toasty/roasty character. There is a soft herbal hoppiness that accents the roastiness. A pretty prominent fruity aroma/flavour that works for me. It’s a pretty nice beer although it might be a little sweet. Nice complexity though.

Draft that I am drinking right now. Pours dark brown toward black with dark brown edges and off-khaki head. Nose is roasty rauchy dark malt, chocoff, tobacco. Tastes roasty, rauchy, with a solid dark chocolate flavor. Almonds and Wheaties emerge late, giving this one a well balanced and very flavorful lifespan. I’m glad I growlered this one.

[Draft @ EB+B] Poured a dark brown, reddish / mahogany color with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, burnt wood, and light caramel. Taste of cocoa, roasted malts, a bit of toffee, burnt toast, and a dry finish.

Draft at EVT. A perfect looking beer with a two finger head and nice clarity. Smells like a cocoa milkshake. Flavor is nicely toasty and nutty with a nice hop bite. A really tasty beer with a slight milkyness to it. Plenty bitter too.

Cask at Victory. Pours a deep brown with amber notes and a medium creamy tan head that left nice lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, toasted malt, nuts and roasted notes. Flavor was of this great milk chocolate maltiness, toasted grains, Cheerios and nuts. I really enjoyed this porter!

Cask at Victory: Aroma of nuts, chocolate, and roasting. Poured brown in color with a small tan head. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor was light to medium sweet. Tastes of chocolate, roasting, coffee, and some toffee. Medium body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Roasty chocolate finish.

Tap at the Blind Tiger. Aroma is beany, coffee, somewhat vegetal but well balanced and mellow. Clean, crispy flavor, a bit bitter in the finish, with some pomegranate and celery. A bit dull overall.
