It seems to be a growing trend at the time around West Chester for brewpubs and breweries to create nitro-stouts and Victory does a fine job with the style. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Tap @ Victory. The beer was a very dark brown opaque color except for the edges. There was a good sized creamy tan head. The aroma was lightly roasted with a mild sweetness. The flavor had more roast to it with a touch of chocolate. Light bodied and carbonation. Mildly bitter and dry finish. boto (1344), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Draught @ Victory: This one pours a very dark brown with a dense tan head. There was some cascading of the head: very Guinness-like. It leaves some lacing down the glass. The aroma was very mild. There were some roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. The taste is much better than the aroma and ABV would imply. Lighter body, but a good bit of chocolate and a hint of roasted malt. Very easy to drink. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

Nicely bitter and drinkable with some chocolate and raisin. Could be just a bit creamier from the nitro. CamdenD (609), Madrid, Spain

Very light aroma of roasted malts and some cream. Flavor is dry and roasty with a very light hint of cream and bitterness of burnt coffee at the end of it. A little thin, but not too bad. Nose of dog food, wild rice, and earth. Somewhat barren and lacking positive qualities. Tastes of a cranberry-tinted mineral water, a mild warehouse coffee, and fundraiser chocolate. Lifeless palate. A pretty pointless experience.
