Nitro pint at Trappeze. Pours reddish black with a firm, creamy head. The aroma is very dry with suggestions of sourdough and dark chocolate. This beer is really light on the palate, but is super creamy and doesn’t skimp on flavor. Hints of nuts, buttermilk, chocolate, and a dry, lingering wooden finish are here. I was in the mood for a light session beer and this one delivers in that department. BeerGestapo (740), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a very dark brown color with an awesome tan head. Aroma of chocolate and malts. Taste is of chocolate, roasted malts and a hint of coffee. The mouthfeel is super creamy with a slightly dry finish. This is the best example of Guinness that i’ve seen yet. sebletitje (1986), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours dark brown with thick mocha like nitro head
Aroma was rather weak and watery with some malts for a charcoal nose.
Taste, light, some roasted malts and thin touch of coffee with undertones of mocha with a lactose like palate.
Overall mouthfeel was fluffy and silky/creamy with good nitro presence. Victory’s version of Guinness? dry finish, simple, light, too watery for my taste but very drinkable.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 8, 2009 sample at Taco Mac, Windward. dark black with a big off white head. aromas of roasted malt and some ash. Very watered down light body - a bit of chocolate/coffee... this one is similar to Guinness in body, aroma and some flavor - however Guinness wins hands down. I would not order this one.... radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 6, 2009 On Draft. Fantastic pour, akin to Guinness’ look. Carbonation perfect, head was creamy off-white, color of beer was near-black. Flavor, again, quite similar to Guinness. Nothing out of this world, but I really needed the low ABV after hitting some harder beers earlier in the evening.’ keepersj12 (811), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA
