Commercial Description:
The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

Draught @ The Distillery, Savannah. Rich black with thick tan head. Abundant coffee, asphalt and coffee aromas. Finishes thin with slight acidity. Unripe and does not deliver on the aroma or appearance. Thin and underdeveloped.

Pours opaque and black with a nice thick white head. Coffee aroma. Not a lot of flavor but what’s their has a hint of coffee. Too thin for me. Essentially a Guinness clone.

Comes out of the tap a nearly opaque reddish sable with a thick, fairly persistent tan head. Aroma is richly of roast coffee and has just a hint of cinnamon. Flavor is surprisingly spicy and has a strong hoppy component, rather different from other stouts I have tasted. It has firm coffee and smoke components as well, plus a tiny metallic tinge - but the last may come from this particular batch. Texture is tingly and sharp, and just a teeny bit thin.

Appearance: Black, creamy-looking body with an off-white and equally creamy-looking head. Leaves a wall of lacing along the glass on the way down. Smell: Meek aroma of washed out roasted grains with ultra minor hints of chocolate. Taste: Dry, mildly flavored roasted malt taste with an almost imperceptible dark caramel and chocolate sweetness. Faint roasty bitterness. Finishes dry and roasty. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Smooth carbonation. The nitro tap offers a boost in creaminess, but, man, it’s still very, very thin. Drinkability: The drinkability is fine from a low ABV, session-type standpoint, but being so devoid of flavor, I doubt it’d hold my interest beyond the one pint.

This poured bascially an opaque black color with a big beige head. Aroma was very minimal, small hints of rostead coffee and some weak chocolate. Flavor was much the same, really watery and dry dry stout. Hardly anything going on here at all. Reminds me way too much like guinness

I really loved this stout! There is just something about a light, but very flavorful dark, dry stout that offers such a big aroma and a bountiful flavor. This stout poured a pitch-black color with a very generous white head. The aroma featured chocoalte, light hops and cream. The body was wonderfully smooth and delicious, with notes of milk chocolate, cream, vanilla and just a touch of light hoppiness. This stout left a cascading line of lacing around the glass. It’s almost about time that Victory made a stout like this. Several other brewers have done so, and it’s great to see that Victory has followed suit, and in such a compelling and delicious fashion.

Tap@ TacoMac, crabapple. Nitro pour! Dark black, silky light tan heavy cream floating over the darkness. Roasted grain aroma, very light. Flavor is creamy textured, dry cereal, chalky. Finishes with a familiar Victory yeast fruitiness. Very dry on the palate. One of the best Dry Stouts on nitro you can get. Convert any Guiness drinker.

Nitro… Almost black with a mid-sized, creamy, lightly tanned head that never dissipates. When I held it up to light I saw ruby sparkles around the edges of the glass. Dark chocolate and espresso aroma with lesser notes of smoke and charcoal. Light to medium-bodied and a touch creamy with only a whisper of carbonation. Acrid, burnt, lightly tangy flavor - a touch thin. Bland, dry finish.
