Commercial Description:
The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

Dark black beer with a thick creamy nitro head. Aroma is very roasty. Lots of bright cocoa. Nice and roast with a kiss of acidic malts. Lean-bodied, toasty and roast. It finishes with a kiss of fruit on the back. It’s a pretty solid dry stout really.

I ordered this at Jean bonnet, and thought it was storm King but told they were out. This is anice knock off of Guiness but no Storm king. little to no hops, lighter in color and taste, oily, no head and hints of smoked salmon.

Had this on draft-and it poured a dark black color with a nice tan head.Aromas were the usual-coffee,malt and chocolate.Flavors also had coffee, roasted malt and light caramel.Nice, easy drinking offering, considering the abv is only 3.7%..Not too bad.

Draft at the brewery: pours a dark black with a big frothy head, aroma of coffee and malt, taste is dry with some malt and coffee flavors though both are fairly subtle, watery mouthfeel from a beer that looks like it would be pretty heavy. Pretty good interpretation of the style.

Dark and lovely, but its charms end there. Standard watery stout with a hint of caramel, and more water.

Black body with a medium sized beige head that fades. The nose is roast, chocolate and brown sugar. The flavor is dry with roast, light chocolate and light molasses. Medium/light body is soft with light carbonation.

Descent beer. Had on tap at the brewery. Nice creamy head. Roasted coffee, malt and just a small chocolate note. Finish was just a bit stronger with the hops then i like ths style to be. Definately a solid beer but not my favorite in the style. Tastes good but would not go out of my way to buy it.
