Draft at the brewery: pours a dark black with a big frothy head, aroma of coffee and malt, taste is dry with some malt and coffee flavors though both are fairly subtle, watery mouthfeel from a beer that looks like it would be pretty heavy. Pretty good interpretation of the style.

Poured extremely dark with just a light reddish tone near the bottom of the glass also had a good three quarters inch cream colored head. This was a very drinkable smooth stout which had hints of bitter, smoke, and coffee at the finish.
A stout I really enjoyed mainly due to the drinkability.

Aug 6, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Clear cola with a brown head. Chocolaty nose, powdery. The decent nose lies - weak ass choco-coffee flavors, not much else. Smooth but too watery. Decent lace. Disappointing.

Jul 28, 2008 Pours black with a mocha head that is quite frothy and leaves lacing. Smells and tastes of coffee. The flavor also has notes of chocolate. It is light but not really in a bad way. Nice amount of bitterness. Smooth and dry finish.

Jul 16, 2008 Dark black beer with a thick creamy nitro head. Aroma is very roasty. Lots of bright cocoa. Nice and roast with a kiss of acidic malts. Lean-bodied, toasty and roast. It finishes with a kiss of fruit on the back. It’s a pretty solid dry stout really.

First Impression: Aroma is sweet cocoa, coffee, and mold. Visuals deep black with a long lasting head. Taste coffee, some hops, nice depth and flavor. Palate dry with a short finish. Second Impression a very nice stout, and a great way to celebrate my birthday.
