Jan 20, 2007 On the hand pump at Ortinos Northside. Pours a translucent brownish amber with a creamy light tan head that laced and sustained. Aroma was toasty/nutty with hints of hops and grains. Flavor was nice and smooth toasty/nutty, cereal, light hop bitterness, hints of caramel and chocolate.

Dec 22, 2006 Cask at Capital Ale House. Deep reddish brown. Aroma was a bit of caramel and some cocoa. Flavor matched, with a sublte hop bitterness at the end. Not bad. Sort of like a pumped up Newcastle.

Oct 30, 2006 Poured a hazy brown color with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of nuts, caramel malts, and cocoa. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, with light citrus, and mildly bitter, hop finish. Fully attentuated.

Oct 7, 2006 Cask @Victory. Dark brown pour with decent head. Smooth, sweet taste with nice hop balance. A very sweet, almost chocolately-malt finish is present. Overall a very pleasant and refreshing brown ale.

Sep 17, 2006 On hand pump at victory. Nice dark brown color with large tan head. Some nutty aroma as well as hops. The body was ok it could have been a little thicker. The taste was slighty nutty with sharp hop finish. Nice lacing around glass at the end.
