Aroma was toasty/nutty with hints of hops and grains. Flavor was nice and smooth toasty/nutty, cereal, light hop bitterness, hints of caramel and chocolate. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Dec 22, 2006 Cask at Capital Ale House. Deep reddish brown. Aroma was a bit of caramel and some cocoa. Flavor matched, with a sublte hop bitterness at the end. Not bad. Aroma of nuts, caramel malts, and cocoa. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, with light citrus, and mildly bitter, hop finish. Smooth, sweet taste with nice hop balance. A very sweet, almost chocolately-malt finish is present. Overall a very pleasant and refreshing brown ale. The body was ok it could have been a little thicker. The taste was slighty nutty with sharp hop finish. Nice lacing around glass at the end.
