| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2009 bottle - Pours clear light amber with a one finger off white head. It has a bready, caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet, rich caramel malt with just a touch of fruitiness. it finishes with very mild hops presence. This very quaffable medium bodied brew is a good example of the style. TearsforBeers (173), Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Pours out a nice clear orangy amber that reminds me of pumpkins and ancient bugs. Also has disappearing white head. Smells like a nice Oktoberfest which is past its prime, which makes sense since this is several months out. It’s got nice sweet malt, roasty, chestnut, and bread notes. The taste is like the aroma good bready malt, with Oktoberfest sweetness. The palate is pretty thin, but enjoyable. Overall this is a fine brew, another good one from Victory. danielcurtis81 (913), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Feb 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours a crystal clear pale brown with some small bubbling. Bready pretzel-like nose with a strong malt character (caramel?). Flavors are very sweet malt. Very simple. Mouth is a little sticky from all the sweetness. Nothing special but an okay brew! | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 23, 2009 Clear amber, moderate white head. Straighforward caramel malt aroma and flavour, with a hint of fruit (cherries?). Surprisingly average, coming from Victory. ROGUE (712), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 7, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a clear reddish copper with a one finger head that dissipates leaving little lacing. The aromas are bready malt, earthy hops and slightly metallic. The flavor is dry with biscuit malt, with a light sweetness that is matched and balanced by a herbal and earthy hop flavor. The body is medium with a crisp carbonation that sits well on the tongue rajendra82 (704), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 2, 2009 The amber bodied beer was amply carbonated, and readily formed a durable three finger thick, head. The smell was sweet and malty with slight hints of cooked corn. The taste was driven by honey dipped bread sweetness of the malt with some counter taste by spicy hops. The body was thicker than typical for the style and aftertaste had a touch of sourness. One of the better festbiers I’ve had.
