| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2008 A nice and smooth brew. It has a little bit of a sour after taste but it’s nothing overpowering or just unpleasant. It has a very nice dark golden color to it and has a very mild hint of hops Overall it’s a great quality beer. beerbill (1978), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a mostly clear reddish gold with a thin off-white head that faded to a ring after the first sip and left a few spots of lace. Mild aroma of malt with a stronger doughy component. The flavor is very similar with mild malt along with a stronger doughy flavor and some very light honey sweetness as well. Initially, the beer is a bit over-carbonated, but that settles down after the first few sips. Very easy to drink. RunDWP (203), San Jose, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 9, 2008 Bottle. Slight malty aroma. Poured a copper brown with a white head that dissipated after a couple minutes. Some lacing and sheeting on the glass. Really like the flavor. Pretty malty, with some sweetness and nutmeg, with a little orange citrus flavor. Hard to detect any hops bitterness. Very smooth mouthfeel and drinkability. joshwilfong (797), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2008 This beer is nice and drinkable. It is not quite as spicy as some of the Oktoberfest beers and has a distinctive malt signature. jhumphries69 (736), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a brilliant, rusty-looking copper with a medium-sized, short-lived, tan head. The aroma is biscuity and malty with some notes of toasted bread and subtle hints of fruit (dates). The flavor starts crisp and bready with notes of spicy hops and some residual malt sweetness. The maltiness and breadiness remain consistent throughout - from beginning to end. The sweetness is not too strong and is well-round. It is also well-balanced by a light and very clean bitterness at mid-tongue. The finish is malty and somewhat dry with subtle notes of hop bitterness and lots of dry, bready, toasty flavors. The mouthfeel is medium in body - and feels surprisingly full considering that the carbonation is also decently high. The beer isn’t spritzy but has enough gas to give a zip on the tip of the tongue and a tingle all over as the beer washes down. Overall, the beer is a decent, full-flavored, all-malt lager; but it is far from the best Oktoberfest beer I’ve had. Drinkable for sure, but not particularly special.
