Aug 30, 2007 clear reddish/brown with a large creamy yellow head. aroma of biscuity malts and a touch of hops. flavors of toffee, toast, hops, and malt. medium bodied. nice toffee, biscuit finish. nothing spectacular, but a solid example of the style.

Aug 29, 2007 (Bottle) Pours a clear copper body with small yellowish beige head. Aroma of caramel, grain, grass, and light toastiness. Flavor of caramel malt, mild grassy hops, and some fruitness.

Aug 27, 2007 Clear copper colored body with almost no head formation at all. Smells of sticky, sweet maple and sweet white corn, with a heavily sweet caramel and caramel corn note as well. Some faint cherry wood also shows up at times. Low carbonation, slick and oily, with flavors of semi-sweet maple malt and light plum and cedar. Medium dryness in the finish. Ok to below average.

Aug 25, 2007 A little heavy on the German metallic flavor. But my objection to that faded about 1/2 way through the bottle. Great color. Really tastes like fall. I enjoyed it, but I don’t know that I really like it.

Aug 24, 2007 A nice copper, faded leaf color. A real fall looking beer. I can’t believe they are alreading selling it this early in the year. Well, it is the end of August, and this is Atlanta, and we have had a record breaking month as far as the heat is concerned. All tha aside, the beer is transparent, has a weak caramel, and crystal malt smell to it. The malt is definitely noticeable. A creamy and smooth beer, but boy does that malt shine through. Wow, very malty very very little hop flavor. The "kiss of hops" on the description must be a butterfly kiss or something, because this lacks hops. Smooth, malty, and not up to the Victory standards.

Aug 24, 2007 Amber pour with a small light brown head. Caramel and vegetable aroma. Medium bodied. Carbonation is about right. Malty taste. Dough/bread. Standard ofest. Finishes a bit thin and watery.

Aug 24, 2007 Holy crap that is a delicious Oktoberfest. No aroma (shame...this would have been in the 4s). Pour was the darkest amber I’ve seen in an Oktoberfest...no head though. Taste was huge...buttery malt and caramel on top of great carbonation and a sweet semi dry finish.
