Oct 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours amber with off white head. This is malty, but nondescript. Just sweet. Some hoppiness. Not bad. I’m never impressed by Oktoberfests, but this is actually a decent one.

Oct 9, 2009 A few malts on the aroma but not much. Flavor is thin with a few malts and some Carmel. this beer is not much to write home about. Amazed they can get away with charging so much for it.

Oct 8, 2009 Brewed in the USA... Pours amber in color with super thin white head and some mild carbonation. Aroma of caramel, spices, malts and bread. Taste of sweet malts, warm bread, mild spices and some grains. Mouthfeel is kind of sweet at first then becomes dry at the finish, This is a pretty good Oktoberfest brew !!!!

Oct 7, 2009 Poured amber and clear with a short white head and spotty lacing. The aroma was dominated by sweet, chewy malts and light spice. The flavor was tons of malts, sugars and a touch of spice. Possibly some floral or pine notes towards the end. Thin body with a lingering finish. OK.

Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, apricot), with a light note of dried mango.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky.
Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation.
A fair rendition. A little rough and simple, but ok.

Aroma: Nice mild dark malts with a light spice and added aromatic hops.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a light head.
Flavor: Has decent malt build with hops and added spices to make this a decent Marzen.
Palate: Dry Finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: An average Marzen for the day.

Oct 3, 2009 12oz. bottle. Slightly opaque golden color topped by a fairly active head that dissipates a bit quickly. Aroma is of bready malt with a faint touch of hay. Flavor is typical for the style, perhaps just a bit too sweet. The hops do appear more fully on the back of the tongue. Mouthfeel seems a little thin to me, but I’ve already been drinking winter seasonals this year! This is a pretty good O-fest, but I’ll stick with the German brewers for the best.
