PilsnerPeter (2585), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 23, 2008 Tap at Barcade: Golden pour with great clarity and a thin white head. The aroma has some lemon-peel notes, fruity Belgian esters and a crisp grassy character. The flavor has a good amount of crisp citrus/grass hop qualities- with a lemon peel zest and some cracker-like malts in the background. The later flavors offer some spicy yeast phenols/dryness and some Euro-hop bitterness. Highly drinkable, but pretty simple. puzzl (2579), New York, New York, USA Sep 21, 2008 Tap at Barcade. Very dull gold pour. Minerally aroma with a hint of Belgian yeast and euro hops. Flavor is sharp and hoppy but very indistinct. Couldn’t at all tell what style they were going for here. Very dull. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Sep 21, 2008 Tap at Barcade. Pale golden beer with a thin white head. Aroma is lovely and fresh. A mix of grapefruity citrusy hops along with some nice zesty noble aroma as well. A bit of orange peel over a very crisp pils malt base. A bit of dark herbal character behind the pale pale malts. More APA than Golden Ale, but either way, it’s a very nice simple brew. hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 13, 2008 On tap at Victory. Poured a medium and clear golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of grains with some citrus. Tastes of the same with the citrus being a little stronger than in the aromas. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 12, 2008 Nose of floral hops, citrus. Crystal clear gold, large head, vanished as I slowly finished the beer, moderate lacing. Taste is crisp and dry, citrus, with a huge bitter head. An easy beer to enjoy, with a great dry and bitter finish. michael-pollack (2603), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 11, 2008 Draught at the Brewery: Aroma of floral hops and citrus. Poured gold in color with a small, creamy, white head that lasted throughout. Flavor of hops, lemon, and dish soap. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Soapy, lightly dry finish. DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Sep 5, 2008 Simple, clean citrus twinged golden ale. Will not disappointment and good with the Victory nachos. Good stuff.
