The smell has notes of orange and pineapple. Spicy citrus-like orange peel. Mostly spicy sweet with a nice citrus hop accent.
The taste is some of that wild, funky yeast which overwhelms. Some spicy coriander/orange peel. Hella nice. Half spicy/sour, half sweet. Some pineapple, grapefruit and champagne-y white grape.
The feel is creamy on the palate, but fizzy like champagne. Damn nice overall. A fine example of a Belgian tripel. Balanced bitter/sweet/sour/spicy. Real nice. This beer is bold and offers loads of flavor with smooth finish and lots of alcohol. This beer is best enjoyed by itself or for a refreshing summer treat try with a Myer Lemon. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 23, 2009 Appearance is grand! Golden with a thick and creamy white head that seems to have an unreal retention factor. A ton of carbon bubbles flow throughout the drink.
Smell is spicy. I can’t put my finger on exactly what spice it is, but there is also some pine present. Exotic, perhaps too much so for a tripel.
Taste is not nearly as exotic. This reminds me of what many breweries do for a christmas drink, something of a honey taste with a few spices thrown in. A boozy sensation becomes more prevalent as the drink warms.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with an unexpectedly low carbonation for how it looks.
Drinkability..I probably would skip this one in my next round. It goes down smooth but becomes too boozy after a few sips. patrickfannon (367), Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma of citrus, raisins, melon, and hints of dry hops. Fully body with a dry, crisp finish. Hides the alcohol extremely well. Nice lacing also. Excellent tripel from Victory. noncaloric (625), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Aug 22, 2009 Lightly hazy gold, off-white head, moderate lace. Aroma of sweet fruits and vegetables, banana, creamed corn. Flavor is very much a mixed bag. On the positive, warm fruity, spicy, lots of clove and cinnamon, banana sweetness, kind of wheaty on the finish. On the down side, a chemical bitterness and solventy penetration. Very warm, fiery, lively on the palate, but alternates between savorable and imparting uncertainty about whether this is really a beverage. Pastor (509), Maine, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Aug 19, 2009 poured into its proper glass produced a large three finger white head that lasted the whole time the brew lasted. The body of the brew was a clear golden yellow with wonderful small carbonation bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass.
It has some nice Belgian yeast aromas coming from the glass sweet banana was one of them that come to mind.
The flavor was a nice fruity banana with a light spice bitter. I did not notice the alcohol at all as I consumed my glass. It had a nice medium feel in my mouth with great carbonation for the style.
A dangerously drinkable Tripel you could easily get into trouble drinking these the go down that well.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 19, 2009 Yellow gold pour with a minimal white head.
Very fruit aroma with banana being dominant. Flavor is not as sweet as I had feared and the alcohol is very well hidden. The finish is crisp and doesn’t linger.
Another winner from Victory.
