Commercial Description:
Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

Bottle compliments of Rich Rod. Light golden color, kinda cloudy. Nice aroma of spices and herbal with oranges. Finishes kind of dry and grassy. Pretty good though.

Last time I had this was with food, and it’s a bit much for a companion to a barbecue sandwich (that’s pulled pork and vinegar, to all you non-North Carolinians). Surprised me this time around on its own. Bright, slightly hazy golden pour with frothy white head. Nose of esters, yeast, herby basil notes, lemon, and some banana. Similar on the palate and some added tea notes. A bit of alcohol showing through. Quite good, especially considering the price.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty with citrus, a little banana and spicy phenols. Dry, phenolic spicy flavour, some fruityness, a hint of alcohol and herbal hops in the finish. One of the better American tripels

12oz bottle from the Victory mixed 12pack from Rodman’s Grocery. Pours a transparent, slightly hazy, yellow gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is fruity, tropical fruits, yeast, spices, sweet, some grass. Flavor is similar, some citrus and spice, more tropical fruits, spices, slightly boozy, maybe a bit of coconut rum. Full bodied for sure, sweet, boozy finish. An OK tripel overall.

12oz bottle 6/9/09 (Courtesy of RSRIZZO)-Pours a hazy orangish golden with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, spices, wheat, and sweetness. Taste is of banana, belgian yeast, spices, citrus, and slight hops. This medium bodied brew is very well balanced and quite tasty. Good brew and example of the style.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. golden with a white head. Fruity coriander nose, sweet sugar as well. Complex spicy and fruity flavours, coriander leads the lot, but matched by good fruit, including banana. Noticeable alcohol. Quite fizzy. True to the style.

Pours a clear goldens straw color with thin white head. Aroma is the spice and Beligian yeast you’d expect from the style. Flavor is banana, spicy hops, citrus and yeast. Alcohol is very noticeable, but the mouthfeel is still smooth and creamy. Very nice beer and good example of the style.

Peculier Pub; bottle: Nirvana! Spices, hops present in aroma. Nice pour, cloudy, caramel/ golden color yielding medium white head. Tastes of citrus fruits, malt and hops. Medium to complex in overall taste, yet light enough to allow for easy drinking.
