| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Lovely aroma, pours uneven golden, small head. Sweet initially, then rich, belgian-ale complexity. Fades to a somewhat disappointing finish - bitter, but not a hoppy bite, just...bitter.
Hides its strength extremely well. wineandbrew (40), Steilacoom, Washington, USA

This beer flows through the taps at Jake’s a bit and thank god! This one is such a quenching rendition of a true Belgian Golden with corriander that it makes me happy every time I have one... compare with La Chouffe but almost half the price!! angrypirate06 (769), Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2009 Bottle. clear gold fizzy pour with half finger white head. Aroma of banana esters, yeast, sweet bread. Mainly yeast, bread, butter, somewhat spice, very pleasant. Decently syrupy mouthfeel. ben4321 (1008), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 10, 2009 Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 4/10/09
Aroma: Bananas, sugar, other fruits, slight spice
Appearance: Clear yellow/gold, full white head dissipates quickly, bubbly
Flavor: Nice strong malty/fruity sweetness, a really nice amount of spice - much more then the nose
Palate: Relatively light body, highly carbonated, pretty good mouthfeel, long lasting
Overall Impression:
I like the way this one works, it starts with a fruity (banana) nose, and moves on to a complex flavor filled with that fruity sweetness and tons of spice. It really mixes well, and drinks easily. A really nice beer. mrbirmingham (37), Kansas, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Aroma: The aroma is fruity and I can smell the bananas.
Appearance: Pours deep yellow with an off white head. The head dissipates quickly. The clarity is good, despite the yeast that is suspended in the glass.
Flavor: The initial taste is lightly spicy and dominated by the fruitiness.
Mouth feel: It has a medium-light body that is creamy. The carbonation in minimum hence the effervescent must be from the alcohol.
Overall Impression: I enjoyed this beer very much. The fruitiness and the lightness in body make this an easy beer to drink. The 9.5% ABV adds the danger, I can see limiting myself to 1 or 2 when out, or just staying home and drinking a few more than 2.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Bottle: The first time I had this, I hated it. It was way too malty and overpowering. But luckily I didn’t rate beer back then so I got another opportunity to rate this one, now that my palate is more well defined. This one poured a cloudy bright yellow with a nice head. The aroma was banana’s and spice. The flavor was pepper, clove, malt, banana, apple, sugar and a nice smooth finish. Overall, a tasty high rated belgium. jmulv (86), Rensselaer, New York, USA
