Location: 12 oz bottle from Gilly’s, 4/10/09

Aroma: Bananas, sugar, other fruits, slight spice
Appearance: Clear yellow/gold, full white head dissipates quickly, bubbly
Flavor: Nice strong malty/fruity sweetness, a really nice amount of spice - much more then the nose
Palate: Relatively light body, highly carbonated, pretty good mouthfeel, long lasting
Overall Impression: I like the way this one works, it starts with a fruity (banana) nose, and moves on to a complex flavor filled with that fruity sweetness and tons of spice. It really mixes well, and drinks easily. A really nice beer.

Aroma: The aroma is fruity and I can smell the bananas. Appearance: Pours deep yellow with an off white head. The head dissipates quickly. The clarity is good, despite the yeast that is suspended in the glass. Flavor: The initial taste is lightly spicy and dominated by the fruitiness. Mouth feel: It has a medium-light body that is creamy. The carbonation in minimum hence the effervescent must be from the alcohol. Overall Impression: I enjoyed this beer very much. The fruitiness and the lightness in body make this an easy beer to drink. The 9.5% ABV adds the danger, I can see limiting myself to 1 or 2 when out, or just staying home and drinking a few more than 2.

Bottle: The first time I had this, I hated it. It was way too malty and overpowering. But luckily I didn’t rate beer back then so I got another opportunity to rate this one, now that my palate is more well defined. This one poured a cloudy bright yellow with a nice head. The aroma was banana’s and spice. The flavor was pepper, clove, malt, banana, apple, sugar and a nice smooth finish. Overall, a tasty high rated belgium.

An incredibly complex beer, packed with spices - makes the aroma interesting and the flavor outstanding. Take a good long sip to drink this to really appreciate the intricate details. A very fine beer.

golden pour with some effervescence. no head to speak of. Overripe banana and spice notes. slightly peppery and herbal notes as well. first taste is straight banana and some alcohol at the end. second taste reveals some candy malt and spices underneath. Alcohol is well hidden within layers of nice spiciness and robust fruitiness. A great offering from Victory

Bottle. Mmm. Rich and sweet with some distinct banana notes. Does have a distinct alcohol sweetness as well, but at 9.2 it gets harder to hide. Will buy again.

Pour a cloudy yellow with a bubbly beige head. aroma includes exoctic spices, candy apple, banana, and a little alcohol. flavor is of apple, furit, spices, malt, and alchool. palate is a little heavy on the alcohol and is a little thick. overalll, this is a deccent belgian and probably the best belgium widly available in a 6 pack.

Slightly cloudy golden yellow with bubbly beige head. Can detect some alcohol in the spicy aroma. Tastes like a Duvel/Hacher-Pschoor with a spicy dry finish. Alcohol isn’t hidden very well, but who cares this shit is good. :)
