| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 27, 2009 Bottle, poured bright yellow-gold with a large white head that laces well. Aroma is strong and spicy, banana, clove, pepper, slightly citric, and yeasty. Taste is spicey, biscuit, fruity, banana, yeast, clove, even subtley bubblegum, and hoppy. Overall strong and well rounded. Carbonation bit right around the clove and hop taste and finished somewhat phenolic, not badly though. Very enjoyable anytime and definitely a session beer even at that ABV. NomDeBeer (400), Maryland, USA

Lots of spices come through. Taste is of nutmeg, caramel and maybe a hit of molasses. A little too sweet. Butters (1653), Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 23, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a particulate suspended effervescent dull gold with large white head. Clean lemony aroma with light peppery spiciness. Sweet citrus, vanilla, yeast, and lots of alcohol that provides a great warming effect. Medium velvety body with lots of champagne bubbly. Very nicely done and nicely priced! joeyplush (337), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Pours a rich gold color, very slight cloudiness, and a thin white head. Rich aroma of citrus and spices. Flavor is robust, with citrus and spices, and a nice bite and chest warming alcohol in the finish. I think the flavor of this one is very smooth and well balanced. A very drinkable Tripel. scoth (291), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Pours cloudy with sediment, golden with a large white head, good lacing. Smells of apple, orange, clove, ginger and nutmeg. Medium, crisp and velvety body. Deliciously malty with some sour apple, fig, caramel and hazelnut, balanced by subtle bitter hop notes of grapefruit and hay. Smooth and well balanced. Leighton (302), New York, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Oh, so delicious. Bought a bottle from Trader Joe’s. Slightly opaque, fine carbonation, very little head. Strong fruity aroma. Taste is strong of spices and fruit. It warms your mouth and throat going down. And it goes down very smoothly. I’ll definitely get this one again. MrBeerFanatic (365), jamestown, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Pours golden with a syrupy/cloudy texture, and has a frothy stagnant white head. Powerful aromas get the best of me here. Upfront nose of sweet spices (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg) with a little nuttiness. I only give a 7 for flavor to attest for my expectations after the aromas came through. The flavor is just under the power of the aromas but has nice undertones of spices that came in the aromas. There is a little alcoholic presence. There is a lacy palate. Overall a nicely done brew! Victory has yet to let me down.
